LDC Care Company held its first Care Heroes Awards to recognise the extraordinary efforts of its staff in providing compassionate support.
In a heartwarming event dedicated to recognising the efforts of those working in adult social care, LDC Care Company hosted its first-ever "Care Heroes Awards." This special celebration honoured the heroes who provide essential support to adults with disabilities, mental health conditions and other complex needs across the South East.
The event was a brilliant reminder of the compassion and dedication that goes into supporting people in social care. LDC Care is known for its commitment to delivering quality care, but this event focused on the individuals behind that success—the care workers themselves.
Staff from different departments and locations came together to celebrate, share experiences and bond over their shared mission, creating a positive and supportive environment for both staff and those they support.
The Care Heroes Awards brought positive changes across the board, reinforcing a sense of community within the workforce. The recognition has also helped foster a spirit of excellence, encouraging all employees to go the extra mile in their roles.
A parent of one of the individuals receiving support, Siobhan Lyell, shared a heartfelt quote on the impact of LDC’s care, saying:
You have not only given my son Nicky a life, but also me as his mum. There aren’t enough words to say thank you for that.
